Portal Candle — Midnight Gloss / Brass

A small sculptural candlestick from our Practice series: stacked planes, a squared “portal” handle, and a warm brass insert. Hand-made from reclaimed plywood, high-gloss lacquered, each one slightly different and signed.

Description
The Portal Candle is an entry-piece into Clovis Atelier’s world of bold, intuitive forms. Off-cut plywood is stacked into a compact architecture; the squared portal reads as both handle and gesture. Each piece finished in glossy lacquer to keep the material’s texture alive; tiny pores, grain, and tool marks included. A solid brass insert takes a standard taper candle and catches any wax neatly.

Candle fit: Standard taper Ø ≈ 22 mm
Finish: Midnight Gloss (other colours on request)
Variance: Small dimensional and surface differences are part of the work
Care: dust with a soft cloth; avoid water and harsh cleaners; do not leave burning candles unattended
